David qualified as a solicitor in 1972 after taking a law degree, and began working at the Hayle office of T J Chellew & Son a year later. He is now based at Penzance as one of the directors of Cornish Venning Chellews.

David has acquired wide-ranging experience in a number of areas of law including residential property, commercial property (with particular emphasis on commercial leases), wills, probate and succession and some     charity law work.

Away from the office, he is kept busy with four generations of family life as well as involvement with a local church and in supporting a number of Christian para-church organisations.

Bruce Goodwin B.A.(Hons) F.Inst.L.ExBruce Goodwin

Bruce has worked for Cornish Venning since the spring     of 2006, having worked in Penzance previously for 22 years, specializing     in Wills and Probate.  He qualified as a Fellow of the Institute     of Legal Executives in October 1987.  He has a Law Degree and in     the past has carried out much conveyancing work.

He now concentrates on Wills, Probate, Administration       of Estates, Tax Planning and Trusts.

In the past Bruce ran the local Conservation Volunteer       Group for some 13 years, giving him an active insight into local environmental       matters.  He now has a young family, with two dogs, which keeps       him fully involved in his spare time

Lesley Woon – F.Inst.L.ExLesley Woon

Lesley joined the firm of Chellews in 2001, which is now part of the   merged practice of CVC Solicitors. Lesley joined the firm as   a secretary and at that time was part way through her first year of studying     to become a Legal Executive.

As a secretary Lesley got to experience various   areas of law and found she particularly enjoyed Wills and   Probate and during the course of her studies decided this is what she   would like to specialize in.

Lesley was given her own caseload in March 2006, in the Probate department.     Lesley qualified as a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives in     August 2007 and currently works from the Hayle and St. Ives offices.

Lesley deals with Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of   Attorney.
